San Diego Has A Graffiti Problem and 3M Graffiti Films Can Help

Have 3M's New Graffiti Film Installed

The City of San Diego spends more than $1 million each year on graffiti abatement education and enforcement. This amount does not include the millions more spent by other public agencies, utility companies, and private property owners to remove graffiti from their properties. Nationwide, the American public spends nearly $12 billion each year to fight graffiti.

Graffiti does not mean that gangs are in your neighborhood! The vast majority of graffiti in San Diego is written by “taggers.” A tagger writes his or her nickname (“their tag”) so that it will be seen by his or her peers. Taggers vandalize all parts of the city, and are not necessarily tied to a specific neighborhood.

Quick removal of graffiti is important because it discourages more tagging.  One way to quickly get rid of graffiti is to have 3M’s Anti Graffiti Film installed on your windows.  This film is easily put onto windows and other glass surfaces and can easily and affordably be taken off and replaced should someone use graffiti.

  • Improved adhesive formula to make replacement easier
  • Available in 4 and 6 mil thickness to provide basic and good protection options
  • Use as a sacrificial layer to protect glass windows and other glass surfaces from vandalism or wear and tear from repeat contact
